Goodbye Summer
First week of school: conquered.
I can finally admit to myself that summer is now behind us, but with so much to look forward to this fall, it’s not such a huge loss. Between (some) interesting classes, a new job, writing for various school publications, applying for study abroad and – oh yeah – socializing, fall 2010 will definitely be full and exciting.
That’s not to say I didn’t have a good summer. AU CONTRAIRE. It was amazing – a fulfilling internship, seeing the Potter cast, going to Orlando twice, seeing family in Jamaica – it was all good fun. Not studying is truly a glorious thing! [Read my internship experience blog for Maryland Life.]
That being said, I am taking a huge range of classes this semester. Psychology is so far my least favorite; Reporting and Multimedia Skills are battling it out for the top spot. I have to say, AU’s School of Communication has some pretty fantastic professors. They really know and love what they’re teaching and have so much experience in their field. Can’t say I’ve encountered the same sort of teaching with other non-SOC classes. But then again, maybe I’m just biased.
