About Rob

Full Name: Robert Michael Sheehan
Birthday: 7 January 1988
Hometown: Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland

Robert Sheehan first became invovled in acting at the age of 14. After responding to an open casting call, Rob landed a part in Song for a Raggy Boy. The youngest of three, Rob is the only one in his family to show any interest in the entertainment industry. His first starring role came with Summer of the Flying Saucer in which he played a hippie boy in 1960's Ireland!

Rob continues to take on roles in both television series and feature films. He now resides in Dublin and can be seen in the upcoming Belfast-set drama/triller Cherrybomb and Season of the Witch (out 2010). He is also the current lead on E4's teen show Misfits whose first series recently wrapped up.

At the beginning of December 2009, the European Film Promotion (EFP) selected Robert Sheehan as part of its line-up for the annual "new acting talent showcase" at the Berlin Film Festival.

His next project will be the comedy I Was Bono's Doppelgänger which is still in pre-production. He will star alongside Ben Barnes and Krysten Ritter.
